Sent Ron Lynn cost estimates for the calendar.

The poster contest rules are ready for review. Please take a look and let me know if you have any changes or suggestions. Theme for 2004 is "Beat the Quake".

Contacted Heidi Berthold, Public Affairs for the Reno Airport Authority about possibly displaying the Earthquake Awareness Week Posters at the Reno-Tahoe Airport. She said they only allow posters with an aviation theme. I have sent e-mail and left messages for Hilarie Grey, Public Affairs Manager, at McCarran and I haven't heard back.

Any other suggestions where we might try to display the posters?

No broadcast of the earthquake drill this year. Station managers are still nervous about "scaring" the public.

John Anderson asked me to obtain the cost for sponsoring a day during Earthquake Awareness Week on KUNR and KNPR yesterday. I called yesterday and left a voice mail at KUNR and didn't hear back before I left for the day.

Put together a rough draft of a Nevada Earthquake Safety Plan - School Guide. It needs work. We had hoped to have it ready to send out as part of Earthquake Awareness Week 2004 but it will be a much better document if there is more input from the Council. Possibly get a letter of endorsement or support form Gov. Guinn when complete.
