NESC Award for Excellence

Keith Rogers (right), reporter for the Las Vegas Review-Journal, is presented the Nevada Earthquake Safety Council Award for Excellence at the NESC meeting on August 25, 2000 in Las Vegas by Chairman Ronald Lynn in recognition of his article entitled “If the big one hits here, will we be ready?” Published on Sunday, April 11, 1999, Mr. Roger’s article is an extensive review of the potential earthquake hazards in southern Nevada. NESC commends Mr. Roger’s commitment to accuracy and his broad research in the scientific and engineering communities.
