Ruby Mountains–East Humboldt Range Virtual Field Trip
Great Basin College is bringing together geoscientists from several organizations, including authors of some related NBMG geologic maps, to discuss the geology of the Ruby Mountains–East Humboldt Range area of northeastern Nevada in videos and virtual field trips on this interactive map on their RuGGEd website.
"Great Basin College, University of Colorado–Boulder, University of Dayton, and the National Science Foundation are collaborating on research investigating the timing and rate of uplift of the Ruby Mountains, Wood Hills, East Humboldt Range and the Pequops. One of the goals is to make scientific research more accessible to the public. Embedded in this map are educational videos about important geologic features. This material is based upon work supported by the National Science Foundation under Grant No. 1728274. Any opinions, findings, and conclusions or recommendations expressed in this material are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the views of the National Science Foundation."
